T3 RACE 2
QUOTES

Henri MOSER – nr 38 Kessel Racing Ferrari 430, 1st : "It was certainly hard to follow the Corvette. They have huge engines, which is good on this track, maybe the fastest in Europe. Even if they are not the fastest in the corners, they were really really fast in the straight line. I tried to keep up with the Dodges, not to let the Corvettes go. Luckily I had a really great stop in the pits. The Corvettes braked too early, so I could gain almost what I had lost on track! It was important to score points. We were a bit deceived this morning, because we deserve a good result. I do not know Brno, so I look forward to being there, as I heard that it is a really nice track."

Gilles VANNELET – nr 38 Kessel Racing Ferrari 430, 1st: "I've done three races today, one in the FIA GT Championship and two in the FIA GT3 European Championship… and I have one more long race to go back to France, but this one is going to be more peaceful. I was really disappointed after the first race, and I don't really understand what happened! I lost the car in my last lap, it was a shame. We really want to win this Championship, and my goal is to drive carefully, and not doing any mistake. So OK, it is always special to win like that, but we were unlucky this morning, and now we are more lucky! This afternoon, we absolutely wanted to score points, so we did not take any risks. In my stint I never reached the RPM limiter, and during the last lap I was really slow, as I know that we will be very close with the fuel.”

Ed MORRIS – nr 7 RPM Dodge Viper Competition Coupe, 3rd : "We struggled with grip a little bit, and at the beginning it was terrible. He stayed at a reasonable distance, even if I made few mistakes in hard breaking. The Corvettes were just too fast for us. Anyway it is a good week-end for us, for RPM and for Dodge. Two podiums is perfect. I'd love to keep it up in Brno."

Bradley ELLIS – nr 7 RPM Dodge Viper Competition Coupe, 3rd : "I'm really happy with my FIA debut. Two podiums in two races isn't bad! I usually race in the British GT, and I do not know yet if I will race again in the FIA GT3 European Championship. I hope to be there in Brno."

Daniel GIBSON – nr 32 Team Berlanga Ascari KZ1R, 1st Ascari : "It was a really hard week-end. Today I have to thank Michael Greenhalgh, he did all the work for me! It is our first season, so we are learning and we are enjoying it."

Phil Keen – nr 2 Tech9 Motorsport Porsche 997 GT3 Cup, 1st Porsche : "It was not our week-end. The car is not quick enough, and we can't do better here. The big question is to know if it is going to be better in Brno! We are 3.5 seconds slower than the Corvette, so it is hard to imagine that we could catch them up in Brno. So we will see, but the end of the season is going to be really hard for us!"

Jürgen von Gartzen – nr 18 Martini Callaway Racing Corvette Z06R GT3, excluded : "The beginning of the race was amazing and funny, but perhaps too fast because we need a lot of fuel. But James Ruffier put on a lot of pressure in the first ten laps, so I had to go fast. The fights with the Ferraris are always very good and very exciting, so I'm sure the next races will be very interesting."

Luca PIRRI – nr 18 Martini Callaway Racing Corvette Z06R GT3, excluded : "The car was doing very well, I had a good rhythm and I managed to came back on Gilles Vannelet and I passed him. In the first race we were concerned by the reliability, but it went well, and the same thing happened in the second race, we did not have any problems. On this track, we are at least faster than the Ferraris, but I have to say that we were surprised by their performance here. I think that in Brno we will be able to fight with them, I'm more concerned about Dubai. It is a really slippery track, and with our hard compound tyres it is going to be really hard for us. So Brno is going to be very important for us."
